Creative Social Media Ideas for Autumn

October 08, 20242 min read

Managing company social media accounts can be time consuming. As well as staying on top of the latest trends you need to post consistently - meaning you need a lot of content.

We manage the social media accounts of our clients. The key for us is repurposing content and planning ahead. We’ve put together some content ideas so you don’t have to.

  1. Halloween

This one is obvious. Incorporate Halloween inspired content into your social media. Ask your staff to wear something Halloween-y for some fun images and reels. Host a fancy dress competition and engage with your audience by offering spooktacular prizes. If you're a hair and beauty brand, highlight Halloween-inspired makeup to showcase your creative skills beyond your everyday looks.

  1. Autumn

Showcase autumn-inspired content. We’re talking seasonal recipes, comfy nights in, autumn fashion and seasonal events. Create a warm and cozy aesthetic with the rich colours of red, yellow and orange and encourage your audience to join the celebration of all-things autumn. If you’re a home decor brand, shoot a short video of you prepping for a cozy night in relaxing in front of the fire.

  1. Wellbeing

As the nights get dark, share some feel-good posts to help with health and wellbeing. This is particularly important as more people spend time indoors and on their devices. From inspirational quotes and self-care tips to mindfulness practices and connecting with the outdoors. Stay connected and build a community through the autumn months to support your social media audience.

  1. Bonfire Night

Remember, remember the 5th of November. Yet another seasonal activity to get involved with. Whether it’s sharing safety tips, or encouraging your audience to share images of how they are celebrating, there are lots of creative ideas you can use. Keep an eye on our socials and copy us - we love to share ideas!

  1. Awareness Days

Depending on your business, get involved in awareness days that run throughout Autumn. Raise awareness of causes and events that you and the business can relate to. October is the month of National ADHD Awareness Month and World Mental Health Day. November includes Mo-vember, National Sandwich Day and even World Television Day.

  1. Christmas and New Year

As we go into winter, we have all of the content ideas that comes with Christmas and New Year. We could write a book on ideas for this. Share what your staff and the company are doing over the festive period. Reels of you decorating the office, staff in their Christmas jumpers or charities that you are supporting.

Message us to find out how we can bring more ideas to your social media strategy.
